ESTABLISHMENT

The Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) Centre at P.G & Research Department of Microbiology & Biotechnology , Chennai was established on 28 March 2007. This Centre had been developed under the programme BTIS net by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India for the promotion of Biology Teaching through Bioinformatics (BTBI) and was inaugurated by Honourable Minister for Higher Education , Government of Tamil Nadu Dr. K. Ponmudi in the presence of Dr. T. Madhan Mohan , Adviser, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India New Delhi . Bioinformatics Facility Centre of DBT. Honourable Minister Dr. K. Ponmudi unveils the BIFC inauguration Stone. Honourable Minister was inaugurating the Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) Honourable Minister Dr. K. Ponmudi delivering his inaugural address to the gathering.
